Tamer Attia, Quality Director at the Holding Company for Airports and Air Navigation and a member of the Board of Directors of the Special Insurance Fund for Employees of the Ministry of Aviation and some of its affiliates, has earned a PhD in Business Administration from the Faculty of Commerce and Business Administration at Helwan University.

His dissertation, titled ‘The role of outsourcing in improving operations management efficiency: An applied study of the Civil Aviation Sector,’ explored the strategic impact of outsourcing on operational performance within the aviation industry.
The PhD examination committee was chaired by Dr. Amani Abdel Aziz Fakher, Professor of International Economics and former Dean of the Faculty of Commerce and Business Administration at Helwan University, who also supervised the research. The committee also included Dr. Gharib Abdel Hamid Hashem, Assistant Professor of Management at Helwan University, and Dr. Maged Abdel Azim Qabil, Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Economics at the 6th of October City of Culture and Science.

The committee commended the dissertation for its relevance and originality, noting that it stands out as one of the few Arab academic studies to address the role of outsourcing in enhancing operational efficiency in the civil aviation sector. The research offers valuable data and practical recommendations aimed at supporting decision-makers and improving aviation management practices.
