The Egyptian Holding Company for Airports and Air Navigation (EHCAAN) organized in cooperation with the Fund for the Treatment and Control of Addiction and Abuse, a symposium titled “Mechanisms and methods of combating addiction under the relevant laws”.
The symposium dealt with the types of drugs and their impact on the cultural and social factors associated with addiction treatment, the ideas and causes associated with drug abuse and addiction, and ways to get rid of addiction in simple and effective ways.
The symposium also discussed how to treat the problem and for those who fell victim to drugs, and shed light on the axes of the law on early detection of drugs in the state’s administrative apparatus, grievance mechanisms, and the bodies entrusted with addressing the law.
EHCAAN chairman Mohamed Saeed Mahrous stated that these seminars come within the framework of the awareness role played by the Holding Company for Airports and Air Navigation to introduce the dangers of addiction and abuse and to correct misconceptions and wrong societal behaviors, especially in light of the amendment of the legislative system related to drug abuse.
