In a significant move toward digital transformation, the Holding Company for Airports and Air Navigation is racing against time to implement its plan to enhance travel services across Egyptian airports.
A strategic partnership agreement was signed between the Holding Company for Airports and Air Navigation and Orange Egypt at Terminal 3 of Cairo International Airport. The agreement was signed by Eng. Ayman Fawzy Arab, Chairman of the Holding Company for Airports and Air Navigation, and Eng. Yasser Shaker, CEO and Managing Director of Orange Egypt.

Eng. Ayman Arab emphasized that this partnership represents a vital step in enhancing the travel experience at Egyptian airports. The collaboration aims to introduce innovative services that leverage cutting-edge technologies, including artificial intelligence, to ensure passenger comfort and satisfaction. He further explained that digital transformation is a key pillar in the company’s vision to boost operational efficiency and meet the increasing needs of travelers.
Orange Egypt has already launched free Wi-Fi services at Cairo International Airport to provide seamless connectivity for passengers and airport staff, with plans to gradually expand the service. Notably, the Wi-Fi service is unrestricted by time limits. The airport terminals are equipped with kiosks to indicate the availability of the service, alongside a dedicated support team to assist passengers in accessing it with ease.

As part of this partnership, Cairo International Airport will also install interactive touchscreens displaying detailed maps of the airport. In the first phase, eight screens will be installed in Terminals 2 and 3. Powered by AI-based virtual assistants, these screens will help passengers locate lounges, terminals, and gates effortlessly. The service will be available in multiple languages, including Arabic, English, French, and German, ensuring a comfortable and inclusive experience for all visitors.
To further enhance passenger convenience, the agreement includes the installation of free charging stations for phones and electronic devices across the airport, improving the efficiency of services offered and delivering an integrated travel experience that combines comfort with innovation.
This partnership underscores the Holding Company for Airports and Air Navigation’s commitment to adopting global best practices in airport operations, aligning with the continuous growth in travel demand.
