Chairman of EgyptAir Holding Company Ahmed Adel recently met a high-level British delegation at the company’s headquarters in Cairo.
The meeting included British Ambassador Mark Bryson Richardson and representatives from the UK Department for Business and Trade and UK Export Finance.
The group met to discuss several key areas of co-operation, focusing on how the two countries can work together to modernise EgyptAir’s operations.

A major topic of the meeting was the long-term plan to update the EgyptAir fleet. The leaders discussed different ways to fund these new aircraft and explored potential partnerships with international manufacturers. They also talked about working with British experts to improve technical training and upgrade EgyptAir’s maintenance and repair systems. These improvements are intended to bring more advanced technology and specialised skills to the airline’s workforce.
The two sides also looked at ways to increase the number of flights between Egypt and the United Kingdom.
By expanding the flight network and looking into new destinations, both countries hope to boost tourism and make trade easier.

Currently, EgyptAir operates 28 flights a week to the UK, including daily service to London and regular flights to Manchester.
Lastly, the delegation discussed EgyptAir’s upcoming participation in the Farnborough International Airshow 2026. Attending this major event is expected to help EgyptAir build stronger relationships with global aviation leaders and showcase its growth on the world stage.
