Dr Sameh El-Hefny, the Minister of Civil Aviation, conducted a comprehensive inspection of El Alamein International Airport. The tour focused on assessing expansion sites and monitoring operational activities during the current period.
The Minister meticulously examined all airport facilities, including travel and arrival procedures, security systems and measures, equipment readiness, baggage detection devices, and modern biometric systems.
He also inspected the baggage belt area, ensuring efficient operations and adherence to operational processes to enhance passenger services.
El-Hefny followed up on previous observations and reviewed new mechanisms implemented to improve operational flow, particularly during peak periods anticipated for El Alamein City as a prominent global tourism destination.
During the inspection, the Minister met with airport staff, commending their tireless efforts that contributed significantly to the success of the Egypt International Aviation and Space Exhibition 2024.
The exhibition garnered international acclaim for its exceptional preparation and organization.
Concluding the tour, the Minister emphasized the importance of maintaining the highest quality of services for travelers, while continuously exploring effective solutions to meet the airport’s current and future operational needs.
