Egypt has reached a new peak in aviation excellence, with 11 of its international airports now officially licensed and fully compliant with global safety standards.
This achievement marks a major turning point in the country’s efforts to modernise its air transport network and improve how airports operate on a daily basis. Recent milestones include the licensing of Capital International and Marsa Matrouh airports, alongside the successful renewal of operating licences for several other key airports, including Hurghada, Luxor, and Sohag.

Beyond physical upgrades, the Egyptian Airports Company has achieved a major institutional goal by securing internationally recognised ISO certifications for the first time. By implementing an Integrated Management System (IMS), the company has met global benchmarks for quality, environmental sustainability, and occupational safety.
These certifications cover several major airports and headquarters, demonstrating a clear commitment to maintaining high-performance standards across all operations.
