EgyptAir, the national air carrier, has celebrated the launch of the new distribution channel system (NDC), best known as EGYPTAIR Retailing System. The step is aimed to facilitate direct communication with tourism agents inside and outside Egyptin a more advanced manner.
Board Chairman of the EgyptAir Holding CompanyEngineer YehiaZakaria, and Head of EgyptAirCommercial Affairs Sector Amr Adawyattended the event, alongside a number of officials of tourism companies and representatives of TP-Connects travel company.
Zakaria welcomed the launch of the system, aiming to increase opportunities for displaying and selling the company’s products and ancillary services through global distribution systems (GDSs), in co-operation with the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
The platform of EgyptAir,ers.egyptair.com, provides all services with a variety of content, such as displaying high-quality photos or videos, as well as screening flight schedules and prices.
The NDC system also works on enhancingmeans to communicate between airlines, tourism companies and travel agents, whether approved by IATA or non-accredited by IATA, known as Non IATA.

EgyptAir also honoured partners from TP-Connects, tourism companies and those in charge of the project, in recognition of their co-operation during the last period to make this project a success.
It is worth noting that the actual implementation of the project has started since October 2022, in co-operation with TP-Connects Company.
The NDC platform was launched in March 2023 on a trial basis, in co-operation with more than 50 tourism agents inside Egypt.
