Around 134,000 and 386 flights were operated last Thursday, July 6.
This was the largest number of flights in the history of civil aviation. That day was the busiest in the aviation sky ever.
Flightradar24 reported on its official Twitter account that that day was the busiest for commercial aviation. Friday, July 7, was another busy day, as it witnessed more than 20,000 flights.
Flightradar24 was created in 2007 by a Swedish company, and the site relies on tracking movement in the air and collecting available data from many sources, including take-off and landing signals for aircraft and authorized radar data.
It is noteworthy that commercial airlines expect to carry more than 4 billion passengers around the world this year, a number close to the record registeredin 2019 before the spread of coronavirus pandemic.
