A high-level security and environmental inspection committee, led by Deputy Minister of Civil Aviation Montaser Manna, conducted a review of Assiut International Airport. The committee includes representatives from all relevant authorities.
The delegation was received by Airport Director Hatem Tolba and assessed the airport’s operational readiness to handle incoming flights. The review focused on security and health measures, passenger flow, and overall service quality.
The inspection covered key areas, including the airport’s perimeter, terminal buildings, departure and arrival halls for both domestic and international flights, lounges, cafeterias, and duty-free shops. The committee also examined immigration and customs procedures, meteorological services, the air traffic control tower, the airport’s information center, and the security control room, which oversees the surveillance system.
Additionally, the team reviewed baggage handling operations to ensure smooth processing for departing and arriving passengers. The visit extended to the airport’s reception areas and departure gates to assess service standards for travelers and their companions.
