Hurghada International Airport witnessed, on October 25, 2025, a record increase in operational activity, marking the highest level since the beginning of the year.
Statistical data showed that the number of passengers reached 53.169, compared to 43,869 on the same day in 2024, a growth rate of 21.2 per cent.
The number of flights rose to 335, against 289 in the past year, representing an increase of 16 per cent.
This huge turnout reflects Egypt’s position as a top tourist destination at the beginning of the new winter season.

This growing demand is a positive indicator, reflecting the plan of the Civil Aviation Ministry to develop the airport system, enhance the operational efficiency, as well as improve the quality of services offered to passengers.
This supports the state’s vision to strengthen the aviation and tourism sectors as key pillars of the national economy.
It also comes as part of the Ministry’s preparations to implement new development projects that align with the expected increase in air traffic in the coming period.

The Ministry is also working to expand the air connectivity network among Egyptian cities and various international markets, in co-operation with international airlines, aimed to lure more inbound tourist traffic to Egyptian destinations — particularly from European markets.
The operational indicators show that Hurghada city is one of Egypt’s top tourist attractions.
