Cairo International Airport recently welcomed a distinguished African delegation comprising ambassadors from Cameroon, Gabon, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Sierra Leone, Comoros, Namibia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Mauritania. The delegation was accompanied by Ambassador Ihab Awad, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs, representing the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as senior representatives from various Egyptian governmental bodies.

The visit formed part of an ongoing effort to strengthen diplomatic ties and enhance travel cooperation between Egypt and other African nations. During the tour, the delegates reviewed key facilities at the airport and discussed ways to streamline travel procedures for African citizens.

Mr. Ayman Arab, a senior official at Cairo Airport, emphasized the importance of improving the overall travel experience for African nationals. He announced the implementation of a dedicated passport control corridor specifically designed to facilitate entry and exit procedures for travelers from African countries.

This initiative underscores Egypt’s commitment to reinforcing its leadership role on the continent and fostering greater integration and mobility among African nations. The visit concluded with a mutual expression of support for continued collaboration on aviation and border management improvements across the region.
