Minister of Civil Aviation Sameh Hefny chaired an extensive coordination meeting with security, regulatory bodies, and all relevant airport authorities. The meeting, attended by Deputy Minister Pilot Montaser Manna and senior officials from the Ministry of Civil Aviation and its affiliated companies, focused on improving passenger procedures at Egyptian airports.

The purpose of the meeting was to identify and address the challenges and obstacles impacting the smooth flow of passengers, particularly in service-related areas. Discussions centered on the ongoing issues faced by travelers and the need for a comprehensive strategy to streamline efforts across all agencies. The goal is to enhance the flexibility and efficiency of airport procedures, reducing the time and effort required for passengers.
Minister Hefny emphasized the importance of continuous communication and coordination among all airport agencies, highlighting their crucial role in working with airport authorities to provide the best possible service to travelers. He also stressed the need for ongoing staff training, particularly for those who interact directly with passengers, to improve communication skills and professionalism. The minister noted that improving the capabilities of security personnel is essential to ensure a quick response to passenger needs, underscoring that all entities operate within an integrated system that reflects the prestige of the Egyptian state and serves the nation’s best interests.

The minister listened to feedback from various stakeholders and discussed several measures that could effectively change current practices while maintaining existing regulations. The discussion included urgent plans to enhance the passenger experience by reducing congestion and wait times at check-in counters, passport control, and visa issuance at airport banks, as well as during baggage screening. Security measures and ongoing improvements were also reviewed, with an emphasis on their positive impact on the overall image of Egyptian airports.
In his closing remarks, Minister Hefny praised the full cooperation of all airport agencies, acknowledging their vital role in the success of the civil aviation sector. He highlighted that their efforts significantly contribute to creating a positive and dignified image of Egypt for visitors from around the world.
