EgyptAir, the national carrier of Egypt, held a series of meetings with aircraft manufacturers, aircraft leasing companies, engine manufacturers, ground handling providers, charter marketing and sales agents and training technology companies at the Dubai Airshow.

The Planning Sector of the EgyptAir Holding Company met with global leasing companies, including Avilease, Sky lease, SMBC, CDB, Macquarie and BOD Aviation. The discussions focused on potential co-operation opportunities in light of EgyptAir’s plan to renew its fleet. The sector also met with a number of engine manufacturers, including Rolls-Royce, GE and CFM.

The Planning Sector and the EgyptAir Academy of Training met with CAF, L3 Harris and Flight Safety to explore the possibility of co-operation in providing the academy with the latest flight simulators from the models that the company has recently contracted. The discussions also covered potential areas of co-operation between the academy and these companies in the fields of training and technology.

The EgyptAir Academy of Training also held several meetings with a group of leading technology companies to discuss potential areas of co-operation in a variety of areas, including the use of virtual reality technology in training, particularly for ground equipment operators. The meetings were held with FlyBy, the Polish company Unigine, Vive and Leaders.

The academy also met with Aviotek to discuss providing services in the field of implementing the TMS electronic system, as part of the academy’s digital transformation vision. Meetings were also held in the field of exchanging training services with Latitude, Qatar Aviation Academy, FAIR, and ASE Group. In addition, the academy met with Airbus to discuss potential areas of co-operation in the fields of maintenance and training.

EgyptAir Maintenance and Engineering Company held a number of meetings with existing and potential customers to extend contracts or sign new agreements to provide aircraft and engine maintenance and overhaul services. The meetings were held with Fly Baghdad, Iraqi Global Aviation Airlines, and Air Sial of Pakistan, as well as a number of aircraft parts suppliers and maintenance service providers abroad to secure the operation of EgyptAir’s fleet.

In terms of ground handling, EgyptAir Ground Handling Company met with Etihad Airways and Etihad aviation services EAS, which provides ground handling services for EgyptAir aircraft at Abu Dhabi Airport. The discussions focused on renewing contracts to provide ground handling services at Cairo Airport and Abu Dhabi Airport in a way that serves the interests of both companies. The company also met with Etihad Airways to discuss potential areas of co-operation in various fields, as well as renewing the ground handling contract for Etihad Airways flights in Egypt.

On the other hand, representatives of EgyptAir Airlines held intensive meetings with major charter marketing and sales agents around the world to cooperate with EgyptAir in operating special flights at competitive prices that meet customer needs and complement the national carrier’s regular network of routes. The aim is to stimulate inbound tourism from several countries, including Russia, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and others. The meetings also covered the organisation of special flights to transport participants from the national teams and fans of the African Cup of Nations, which will be held in Côte d’Ivoire in January 2024.

The meetings held by EgyptAir at the Dubai Airshow are a sign of the company’s commitment to strengthening its partnerships with key stakeholders in the global aviation industry. The company is looking to expand its network, improve its operational efficiency, and provide its customers with the best possible travel experience.
