EgyptAir has signed an exclusive partnership agreement with global payments giant Visa to deliver advanced technological solutions aimed at supporting growth and expansion in the country’s aviation sector.
The agreement, signed in Cairo in the presence of Civil Aviation Minister Sameh El Hefny, EgyptAir Holding Chairman Capt. Ahmed Adel, and Andrew Torre, Regional President for Central Europe, Middle East, and Africa at Visa, will see the two entities collaborate on a suite of customer-centric digital services and payment tools.

Under the multi-year partnership, Visa and EgyptAir will launch co-branded bank cards offering passengers a range of exclusive benefits, including discounts, loyalty points redeemable for flights, and access to smart loyalty platforms. The initiative will also integrate secure payment solutions and fraud detection technologies.
“Our goal is to provide a seamless and elevated travel experience not only on board our aircraft but throughout the entire booking journey,” said Capt. Ahmed Adel. “By partnering with a global technology leader like Visa, we are taking a significant step toward enhancing customer satisfaction and strengthening our competitiveness.”
The agreement was signed by Capt. Mohamed Alyan, Chairman of EgyptAir Airlines, and Leila Serhan, Visa’s Senior Vice President and Group Country Manager for North Africa, Levant, and Pakistan. The signing ceremony was also attended by Deputy Minister of Civil Aviation Capt. Montasser Manna, Visa Egypt General Manager Malak El Baba, and senior officials from the Ministry of Civil Aviation and both companies.

Capt. Alyan emphasised that innovation lies at the heart of EgyptAir’s strategy, and that collaborating with a global powerhouse like Visa will help the airline remain aligned with fast-evolving technological trends. “This partnership opens new doors for service enhancement and helps attract new customers seeking a more personalised and luxurious travel experience,” he said.
Visa’s Leila Serhan said the partnership is a major milestone in the company’s efforts to transform travel payment experiences globally. “We are proud to join forces with EgyptAir in this exclusive, multi-year agreement. It affirms Visa’s leadership in co-branded travel cards and reflects our commitment to improving the journey for travellers around the world,” she said.
Holders of the co-branded EgyptAir-Visa cards will enjoy a range of exclusive offers including faster mile accrual, personalised promotions, and curated travel experiences designed to match individual preferences.
The partnership aligns with Egypt’s national vision for digital transformation and financial inclusion, as outlined in the government’s Egypt Vision 2030 strategy.
