EgyptAir Hospital witnessed an emergency drill that includes a total evacuation of all hospital departments as a result of a sudden earthquake that led to a fire, as part of the directives of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and the EgyptAir Holding Company to apply the highest standards and requirements of global occupational health and safety.
The drill came as part of EgyptAir Hospital management’s interest in the safety of workers, inpatients, and all visitors to the hospital, following the standards and specifications of occupational safety and health. All hospital workers are periodically trained in similar drills to learn about the correct steps to be followed during various emergency situations such as fires and various natural disasters, which requires a quick evacuation of patients and workers in order to preserve the safety of everyone, in addition to continuous training on how to use different fire extinguishing tools.
A large, selected group of various hospital workers participated in the evacuation process, including doctors, administrators, nurses, and the Security Department, under the supervision of the Occupational Safety and Health Department headed by Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim Badr
