Pilot Amr El-Sharkawy, Chairman of the Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority, has issued a decree appointing Salma El-Tahhan as Head of the Air Transport Sector at the Authority.

El-Tahhan began her career in the Alliances and International Relations Department at EgyptAir and steadily rose through the ranks, holding several key positions. She served as Regional Manager for EgyptAir in Austria, Hungary, and Eastern Europe before moving to Air Cairo, where she took on the role of Director of International Relations. In recognition of her extensive experience and proven leadership in the field, El-Tahhan has now been appointed to lead the air transport sector within the Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority.
