Following his participation in the International Paris Air Show held in June 2025, Minister of Civil Aviation Samah el-Hefney welcomed French Ambassador to Cairo, Éric Chevallier, and his accompanying delegation at the Ministry’s headquarters.

Minister el-Hefny praised the outstanding efforts exerted by the French government in organising the Air Show, highlighting the broad international participation and the high-level organisational arrangements.
The Egyptian participation in the show provided an opportunity to explore the latest international technologies in air transport infrastructure and to open new avenues for co-operation with leading companies in the aviation sector, the minister added.

The Minister stressed the importance of capitalising on the outcomes of the Show, particularly in expanding investment and enhancing technical co-operation.
He also highlighted the significance of bilateral co-operation between the two countries in the air transport sector, as it provides a supportive framework for strengthening regular operations and increasing air connectivity – especially in light of the growing number of French tourists visiting Egyptian destinations.

For his part, Ambassador Chevallier expressed his pleasure at el-Hefny’s visit to France and his participation in the” Le Bourget” Air Show.
He also emphasised that the meetings held with senior officials from major French companies reflect the depth of bilateral relations and pave the way for developing long-term strategic partnerships.
