Minister of Civil Aviation Mohamed Abbas Helmy received Ambassador Kim Young-hyun, the new ambassador of South Korea, in Cairo, to discuss and strengthen mechanisms for joint co-operation between the two countries in the field of civil aviation.
The minister stressed with the Korean ambassador the depth of Egyptian-Korean relations in various fields, including the civil aviation sector, indicating the ministry’s keenness to consolidate these relations through exchanging experiences and supporting investment co-operation plans between the two sides in a way that achieves the common interests of the two friendly peoples.
Ambassador Kim Young-hyun stressed that his country welcomes the prospects for joint co-operation and deepening investment and economic relations with Egypt during the coming period, especially with the availability of promising opportunities within the Egyptian state in multiple fields, including civil aviation.
The South Korean ambassador also praised the Ministry of Civil Aviation’s continued efforts to stimulate inbound tourism to Egypt through the opening of many airports in areas with important tourist destinations, such as Sphinx Airport, which is considered one of the most promising airports, especially for Korean tourists.
