Hefny: Egyptian pilots demonstrate unparalleled excellence and competence

The Egyptian Airline Pilots’ Association, led by Captain Ali Roshdy, honored Dr. Sameh Hefny, Minister of Civil Aviation, during its annual Iftar ceremony in recognition of his contributions to the aviation sector. The association presented a commemorative shield to the minister, which was received on his behalf by Captain Ahmed Adel, Chairman of EgyptAir Holding Company.
Acknowledging Excellence in Egyptian Aviation

During the ceremony, Captain Montaser Manna, Deputy Minister of Civil Aviation, delivered a speech on behalf of Minister Hefny, expressing appreciation for EgyptAir pilots’ outstanding professionalism and their global recognition in the aviation industry. He highlighted their dedication and commitment to maintaining high operational standards.
Captain Manna also conveyed the minister’s sincere regret for not being able to attend the event due to prior commitments, emphasizing his continuous support for aviation professionals and his commitment to engaging with the industry’s workforce.

EgyptAir Pilots: The Pillars of Civil Aviation
Speaking at the event, Captain Ahmed Adel underscored the vital role of Egyptian pilots—particularly those at EgyptAir—in the civil aviation sector. He expressed pride in being part of this esteemed profession and in leading a team of aviation professionals, including pilots, cabin crew, engineers, ground staff, and operational teams, all of whom contribute to the success and efficiency of the industry.
Captain Ali Roshdy, President of the Pilots’ Association, extended gratitude to veteran pilots for their dedication to the profession and their role in shaping EgyptAir’s legacy. He encouraged young pilots to uphold the values and standards set by their predecessors.
The ceremony commenced with an opening address by Captain Khaled Rifaat, Vice President of the Association, who expressed appreciation to civil aviation leaders and distinguished guests for their attendance and ongoing support.

As part of the event, the association posthumously honored the late Captain Sami Sadeq for his lifelong service to EgyptAir. His children accepted a commemorative shield on his behalf. Additionally, retired pilots were recognized for their extensive contributions to the field, acknowledging their role in shaping the next generation of aviation professionals.
The annual Iftar gathering served as a moment of celebration and recognition, reinforcing the commitment to excellence, professional development, and the continued advancement of Egypt’s aviation industry.
