Company expands its network, launches new routes to Manchester,
Delhi, Dhaka, Bangladesh, New Jersey
EgyptAir, the national air carrier, has witnessed a new boom over the past few years, whether at the level of launching new airlines or achieving the highest rates of safety and quality.
The company has managed to cover global markets and attract new customers in support of the travel and tourism movement, according to the instructions of Minister of Civil Aviation Lieutenant General Mohamed Abbas.
Over the past few days, EgyptAir Holding Company has succeeded to renew the ISAGO certificate accredited by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) without mentioning any remarks.
Chairman of the EgyptAir Holding Company Engineer Yehia Zakaria extended his sincere congratulations to the employees of the holding company and the ISAGO team for their efforts and co-operation with the IATA inspection committee, which had a great impact in renewing the accreditation of the ISAGO certificate for the central administration.
Zakaria also praised the excellence of the workers in applying the highest safety rates in line with international standards.
ISAGO certificate is a programme aiming at reducing ground accidents while offering more services and improving the civil aviation sector.
IATA’s Safety Audit of Ground Operations (ISAGO) programme is an internationally recognized system for assessing the operational management and control systems of an organization that provides ground-handling services for airlines.
Zakaria noted that these international accreditations confirm the prominent status of EgyptAir at the regional and international levels and contribute to attracting more customers and travellers from foreign and Arab airlines.
For his part, Gilbert Limitri, head of the audit team, praised the performance of all EgyptAir employees in various fields and the good preparation for the inspection.
Alexandra Matkovichof the Inspection Committee team also commended the good training of all employees in various sectors. This confirms the interest of senior management officials in developing the human resourceswith the chief aim of providing services with the highest level of quality and professionalism.
Matkovichalso indicated that EgyptAir has surpassed the European airlines coming under scrutiny during the past three years in the field of occupational safety and health.
He said that the EgyptAir has implemented all specifications required for the occupational safety and health programme in accordance with ISAGO regulations.
The reviews included all ground service activities to serve passengers and aircraft, station activities, security service, air cargo and cargo loading through the application of all safety and quality procedures at all levels.
Assistant Board Chairman of EgyptAir, Pilot Mohamed Elyan, attended the closing session of the announcement of the inspection and audit committee granting EgyptAir the renewal of the ISAGO certificate without recording any negative remarks.
Pilot Ahmed Ragab, head of the safety and quality sector, Pilot Hashem Noah, EgyptAirGeneral Manager of Safety, and Pilot Rami Mansour, General Manager of Quality witnessed the event, together with all senior leaders and officials of EgyptAir’s subsidiaries.
EgyptAir is working round the clock to develop all sectors to offer high quality services to its customers.
EgyptAir has organizeda recent function to launch the new distribution channel system (NDC), best known as (EGYPTAIR Retailing System), which aims to direct contact in a more advanced manner with tourism agents inside and outside Egypt.
The project is aimed to increase the chances of offering and selling the company’s products and additional services better than it is now through global distribution systems (GDSs), in co-operation with the IATA.
TPConnects, a leading provider of SaaS-based travel technology solutions, has announced that EGYPTAIR has become the latest full-service international airline to adopt TPConnects’ Offer and Order Management solution based on IATA’s New Distribution Capability (NDC).
TPConnects’ NDC API enables EGYPTAIR to fully leverage the power of IATA’s NDC to offer travel agents convenient, easy access to its full range of products and services, including tickets and ancillaries, while reducing costs and boosting efficiencies. Travel Agencies will have access to a NDC based booking portal to search, book, issue tickets, add ancillaries and manage aftersales via the portal. OTA’s, Agencies with a B2B portal can access EGYPTAIR NDC content via API.
The EgyptAir platform, ers.egyptair.com, also allows the provision of all services with a variety of content, such as displaying high-quality photos or videos, as well as displaying flight times and prices.
The actual implementation of the project has started since October 2022, in co-operation with the company providing the service. The NDC platform was launched in March 2023 on a trial basis, in co-operation with more than 50 tourism agents inside Egypt, and the results were positive.
EgyptAir Airlines, headed by Pilot Mohamed Moussa, recently added airlines to its network, including Dhaka line in Bangladesh and New Jersey in North America. EgyptAir also announced the operation of its newest airline to Manchester, England, during this month, as well as a line to Delhi, India, starting next August.
