A new boom is witnessed in relations between EgyptAir and Arab countries as the recent period witnessed remarkable co-operation between the national air carrier and its Arab counterparts in the field of air transport, technical support, training and technical maintenance.

In the context of enhancing technical co-operation between EgyptAir for Maintenance and Engineering and Iraqi Airways, the company’s technical crews have completed a “heavy maintenance” inspection of an Iraqi Airways Boeing 777-200 with a wide design.

Last month, EgyptAir for Maintenance and Engineering participated in a distinguished pavilion in the MRO Middle East 2022 Conference and Exhibition in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, in the presence of a large number of aircraft and engine maintenance and overhaul service providers, in addition to many airlines.

During the exhibition, EgyptAir for Maintenance and Engineering concluded a number of new contracts with many Arab countries to provide technical services, including periodic maintenance at the company’s hangars and daily maintenance at the company’s stations located at domestic and external airports, in addition to renewing the contract with a number of customers who expressed their desire to renew confidence in the company.

This comes as part of efforts aimed at strengthening co-operation in the field of air transport industry with Arab countries, and in light of the directives of Minister of Civil Aviation Mohamed Manar to expand the base of EgyptAir clients from industry partners in the field of ground services provided by EgyptAir to Libyan Airlines flights at Cairo and Borg el-Arab International Airports.

The Libyan delegation expressed its happiness with this meeting, which is a continuation of the extended relations and joint co-operation between the two companies.

The delegation praised the services of EgyptAir for Ground Services and its human cadres and modern ground equipment at Egyptian airports stemming from the confidence that the EgyptAir Training Academy enjoys regionally and internationally and its constant endeavour to enhance co-operation with Arab countries.

The Academy renewed accreditation by the Kuwaiti Civil Aviation Authority to train pilots on the Boeing B777 representative flight device.

The EgyptAir Training Academy had received a high-level delegation from the Kuwaiti Civil Aviation Authority to review the latest training programs and flight simulators to train pilots at the academy, which are Airbus A320, A320neo, A220/300, A330/ A340, and Boeing B737-800, B777 models as well as the Cabin Crew Training Device for Emergency Evacuation and Emergencies (CEET) and the Cabin Crew Training Equipment for Flight Services (CST).
