EgyptAir continues to achieve significant milestones on the world stage, recently being named the Best Airline in Africa for Passenger Services in 2025. According to Skytrax, the leading international organisation for airline rankings, the national carrier climbed 20 places to rank 68th among the world’s top 100 airlines.

This global recognition reflects the company’s serious efforts to modernise its services and expand its fleet, which recently included the addition of the advanced Airbus A350-900. The aircraft was welcomed in a grand ceremony at Cairo International Airport, attended by Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli.

Honouring Excellence and Professionalism

In a show of support for its dedicated staff, Minister of Civil Aviation Sameh el-Hefny recently honoured flight attendants Nariman Abu Bakr and Sarah Heman Saleh.

They were recognised for their exemplary and compassionate conduct during a passenger interaction, reflecting the highest international standards.

The minister praised their quick judgment, noting that such professionalism serves as a model for the entire aviation sector.

Pilot Ahmed Adel, Chairman of EgyptAir Holding Company, also lauded the crew, emphasising that the company’s human resources are the primary engine behind its success.

Despite these documented achievements, some have attempted to diminish the company’s moral standing through non-artistic scenes in film that EgyptAir describes as morally and artistically degrading.

The company clarified that while it respects true creativity that elevates society, it stands firmly against work that exploits moral depravity for cheap gain.

Such portrayals are considered an insult not only to the EgyptAir family but to the dignity of the Egyptian family at large.

EgyptAir has issued a strong statement condemning these insults toward its internationally recognised cabin crew.

The company vowed to take legal action against those who claim to be creative while producing work that tarnishes the airline’s reputation.

This firm stance highlights that the national carrier’s pilots and flight attendants are among the most distinguished in the world, and the company will not stand idly by while their image is exploited.

EgyptAir is moving forward with all necessary legal steps regarding the unauthorised use of its official uniforms and registered trademarks in offensive contexts. While the airline has a long history of co-operating with filmmakers even providing maintenance hangars for production it insists that its identity must be respected.

Moving forward, the company urges all content creators to consult with its relevant departments before using the EgyptAir name or uniform.

This ensures that the 90-year legacy of the carrier, built by generations of hardworking Egyptians, remains protected from distortion.
