EgyptAir, the national flag carrier of Egypt, is participating in the 46th edition of the International Tourism Trade Fair, “Fitur 2026.” The event is currently being held in the Spanish capital, Madrid, from January 21 to 25.

As one of the world’s largest tourism markets, Fitur serves as a primary gathering for specialists and experts in the travel and tourism industry. The EgyptAir pavilion received a visit from Sherif Fathy, Egypt’s Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, who praised the national carrier’s significant role in supporting inbound tourism to Egypt. The Minister further commended the substantial development in the quality of services provided to EgyptAir customers.

In this context, Pilot Ahmed Adel, Chairman of the EgyptAir Holding Company, emphasized that the airline’s participation in such prominent exhibitions is aimed at showcasing its latest services, fleet modernization, and its domestic and international network, which connects to diverse points globally. He noted that the company is also highlighting its sales and marketing strategy to attract increased traffic to Egypt’s various tourist destinations. “This exhibition is a prime opportunity for tourism and aviation stakeholders worldwide, as it is one of the most important international tourism fairs, attended by decision-makers from across the globe,” Adel added.

Pilot Mohamed Ellyan, Chairman of EgyptAir Airlines, stated that Fitur holds great significance, attracting a vast number of travel agents and tour operators. He described the fair as an ideal platform for connecting professionals across all aviation and tourism sectors. Ellyan highlighted the close link between the two sectors, noting that tourism accounts for a large percentage of global flights. Through this participation, EgyptAir seeks to increase its market share and expand its presence in key tourism markets, leveraging Egypt’s status as one of the world’s most prominent destinations.
