Board Chairman of EgyptAir Holding Company, Eng. Yehia Zakaria, met on Friday Virginie Ariol, CEO of the Star Alliance Lounges in France.
Capt. Mohamed Alyan, Chairman of EgyptAir Airlines, and Head of Alliances and International Relations at EgyptAir, Reem Arabi, attended the meeting.
Talks during the meeting explored avenues for co-operation and exchange of expertise regarding the implementation of EgyptAir’s new lounge at Cairo International Airport, aligning it with the latest global standards.
In the course of the meeting, Zakariaemphasised that EgyptAir focuses on developing its business class lounges to provide the highest levels of competitive service, catering to business class passengers and frequent flyers. The airline aims to bring its lounges up to the standard of those at major international airports.
Zakaria praised the collaboration and coordination efforts of the Star Alliance team, which works tirelessly to enhance the travel experience for passengers. The goal is to offer travellers a more comfortable, luxurious, and seamless journey.
Captain Mohamed Alyan, Chairman of EgyptAir Airlines, highlighted that the exchange of expertise and drawing inspiration from French lounge designs in the development of EgyptAir’s new lounge reflects the airline’s ongoing strategy to improve its service offerings. The new lounge design is in line with EgyptAir’s goal of providing an exceptional and dignified experience for passengers travelling on EgyptAir flights, as well as those flying with other members of the Star Alliance network.
Star Alliance, the world’s largest airline alliance, inaugurated its second lounge at Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris last October. Additionally, in July 2024, the Star Alliance business-class lounge at Los Angeles International Airport was named the Best Airport Lounge in North America for the fifth consecutive year, further reinforcing the alliance’s leadership in airport hospitality.
