On the sidelines of EgyptAir’s participation in Dubai Airshow 2025, pilot Ahmed Adel, Chairman of the EgyptAir Holding Company, witnessed the signing of an agreement under which EgyptAir Maintenance & Engineering has been certified by “Airbus” as an authorised provider of routine aircraft structural maintenance services—marking a new achievement added to the company’s extensive record of international accreditations.

This certification represents an international recognition that places the company among the key partners in Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) services for Airbus aircraft operators.
The agreement was signed by Eng. Ibrahim Fathy, Chairman & CEO of EgyptAir Maintenance & Engineering, and on behalf of Airbus, Gabriel Semelas, Head of Airbus for Africa and the Middle East.

This certification comes as the culmination of a comprehensive and successful audit conducted by Airbus in March 2025, which covered the company’s modern facilities and infrastructure at Cairo International Airport.
The audit was performed within the framework of a co-operation agreement initiated during Dubai Airshow 2023.The evaluation confirmed EgyptAir Maintenance & Engineering’s compliance with Airbus technical standards concerning quality, safety, and operational efficiency in routine structural maintenance.
The certification is valid for three years, reaffirming the company’s position as a trusted and high-quality maintenance provider within the global aviation ecosystem.

Pilot Adel stated that this certification reflects EgyptAir’s strategic vision toward excellence in maintenance services and its commitment to strengthening aviation infrastructure in Africa.
He added that this strategic partnership enhances EgyptAir’s competitive position and highlights the company’s dedication to meeting the highest international standards in providing technical support for the region’s growing Airbus fleet.
Eng. Ibrahim Fathy, Chairman of EgyptAir Maintenance & Engineering, emphasised that this certification is an achievement all members of the company take pride in.
For his part, Gabriel Semelas said:“We are proud to welcome EgyptAir Maintenance & Engineering to the Airbus network as an authorised centre for aircraft structural maintenance services in Africa.
