Egypt’s national carrier, EgyptAir, participated with a special pavilion at the ITB Berlin Expo, the world’s leading travel and tourism trade show, with the participation of delegations from more than 165 countries.
Eng. Yahya Zakaria, Chairman of the EgyptAir Holding Company, explained that the expo highlighted the concept of cultural tourism, business travel, and the meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE) sector, as they are now among the most influential industries positively impacting the development and revitalisation of the tourism and aviation sectors.
On his part, Captain Mohamed Moussa, Chairman of EgyptAir Airlines, stated that coordination meetings were held at EgyptAir’s pavilion with a number of tourism agents and international tour organisers, such as Trends Tours and Phoenix, as well as some officials from Munich and Hamburg International Airports, to discuss ways to attract and transport more German tourists to Egyptian cities in the coming period.
