EgyptAir and Huawei, a global leader in ICT infrastructure solutions, have signed an agreement to support Huawei’s sales through EgyptAir’s flight network, along with a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at reinforcing both companies’ commitment to supporting Egypt’s economic development.
Under the agreement, EgyptAir will become the official carrier for Huawei employees worldwide, in addition to joint co-operation in developing EgyptAir’s digital infrastructure.

Pilot Ahmed Adel, Chairman of EgyptAir Holding Company, emphasised that the partnership with Huawei represents a highly strategic step that will add real value to EgyptAir.
He explained that through this co-operation, EgyptAir will be able to benefit from Huawei’s latest smart technology and communication solutions in supporting its digital transformation plan.
This, he added, will have a positive impact on enhancing operational efficiency, developing the technological infrastructure, and improving the passenger experience across all stages of travel.

Adel added that the integration between EgyptAir’s long-standing expertise in the aviation field and Huawei’s pioneering digital innovations will open new avenues for global market expansion, in addition to attracting more passengers and providing them with more flexible solutions.
Pilot Mohamed Alyan, Chairman of EgyptAir Airlines, also affirmed in his speech during the ceremony that the signing of this agreement brings together the strength of EgyptAir’s global network and Huawei’s innovations in the field of communications and technology.

Alyan added: “The global sales agreement for Huawei employees includes a set of exclusive services on our network, which extends to more than 80 destinations worldwide. This agreement also coincides with EgyptAir’s plans to modernise its fleet in order to provide more distinguished services to our customers.”
Pilot Mohamed Alyan, Chairman of EgyptAir Airlines, and Lang Cao, Vice President of Huawei for Global Business Travel, signed an agreement to boost Huawei’s sales on EgyptAir’s network routes.
Meanwhile, Eng. Yasser Omran, Head of the Information Sector at EgyptAir Holding Company, and Du Yong, Senior Vice President of Huawei Egypt, signed a second Memorandum of Understanding aimed at enhancing co-operation in the field of digital transformation.
For her part, Lang Cao said:
“We are pleased to announce this new co-operation through Smartcom, a Huawei subsidiary, which is considered one of the leading companies in China’s travel sector. Our company contributes to facilitating the travel of thousands of passengers on a daily basis.”

Through our partnership with EgyptAir, we aspire to strengthen the connection between China and Africa, expand horizons of economic co-operation, and support cultural exchange.

Commenting on this partnership, Du Yong, Senior Vice President of Huawei Egypt, said:
