Ramadan Tantawy, Head of Public Relations and Media at EgyptAir In-Flight Services, has been awarded a PhD in Business Administration from Helwan University.
His doctoral thesis was examined by a distinguished academic panel, including Professor Salah El-Din Ismail, former Dean of the Faculty of Business and an expert in production operations management; Professor Amani Fakher, former Dean and Professor of International Economics; and Saad Maabad, Chairman of EgyptAir Duty Free.
The committee praised the significance of Tantawy’s research, noting its potential to enrich management practices within EgyptAir and other institutions. The thesis offers a framework of principles and managerial practices aimed at unifying corporate objectives and fostering a culture of shared purpose among employees.

A key focus of the study was the relationship between leadership and employee empowerment, arguing that effective leadership goes beyond delegation to actively enabling staff to take on impactful roles.
Tantawy’s research also spotlighted the concept of “inspirational leadership,” a modern theoretical approach that the thesis explored in detail, including its methodological underpinnings.
The study concluded with a strong recommendation for organisations to adopt policies that build trust, encourage shared responsibility, and empower employees to participate in decision-making processes—ultimately enhancing organisational performance and employee morale.
