EgyptAir concluded a highly successful participation at the 19th Dubai Airshow 2025, securing consecutive successes and signing pivotal agreements and partnership contracts with major international companies, most notably Boeing and Airbus.
As is customary at all major international exhibitions, the national company’s pavilion attracted significant attention from attendees and participants at this record-breaking event, which hosted over 1,500 leading aerospace and defense companies from more than 47 countries.

This year’s airshow highlighted crucial industry developments, including sustainability, AI-enhanced innovation, advanced transportation, space exploration, and talent development.
Chairman and Managing Director of EgyptAir Holding Company Pilot Ahmed Adel spearheaded the delegation and oversaw the signing of multiple strategic initiatives that reinforce EgyptAir’s commitment to operational excellence, security, and fleet modernization.
EgyptAir initiated its series of agreements by formalizing a cooperation protocol with MedAire, a global leader specializing in operational security and risk management solutions for the aviation sector.
The signing ceremony, attended by Pilot Ahmed Adel, Major General Ismail Safwat, Head of Security at EgyptAir, and Hani Bakr, Senior Vice President of Aviation Security at MedAire, execute the protocol.

This collaboration is designed to significantly enhance EgyptAir’s capabilities in threat assessment and operational risk management, ensuring higher compliance with international aviation security and safety standards.
Furthermore, this partnership will bolster the company’s readiness to address security challenges and operational emergencies at both the local and international levels, contributing to improved crisis management efficiency, reduced unforeseen operational costs, and supporting expansion plans in global markets.
Adel emphasized that this protocol aligns perfectly with the company’s strategy to strengthen its security and safety system, noting that investing in risk management capabilities is a cornerstone for maintaining EgyptAir’s position as a leading national carrier committed to implementing the latest international best practices.
In a significant endorsement of its technical prowess, EgyptAir Maintenance and Engineering (EAME) achieved international accreditation from Airbus to become a provider of periodic maintenance services for aircraft structures.

This high-level recognition places EAME among the key Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) partners for Airbus aircraft operators globally.
The agreement was signed by Engineer Ibrahim Fathy, Chairman and Managing Director of EAME, and Gabriel Simelas, President of Airbus for Africa and the Middle East, following a comprehensive and successful audit conducted by Airbus in March 2025 at EAME’s amazing facilities at Cairo International Airport.
This accreditation, valid for three years, confirms EAME’s adherence to Airbus’s strict technical standards for quality, safety, and operational efficiency.
Furthermore, Adel also witnessed the signing of a “Tailored Parts Package” agreement between EAME and Boeing, the American aircraft manufacturer, focusing on the manufacturing of special spare parts for the national aircraft company’s fleet.
Engineer Ibrahim Fathy affirmed that obtaining the Airbus certification is a major achievement that validates the high standards maintained by EAME.
On the fleet and training front, EgyptAir Holding Company strengthened its strategic partnership with Macquarie AirFinance by signing a sale-and-leaseback agreement for two new Airbus A350-900 aircraft.

Adel and Eamonn Payne, CEO of Macquarie, signed the agreement for the two aircraft, which are scheduled for delivery and integration into the EgyptAir fleet in 2026, as part of the company’s wider procurement plan for A350-900s.
Simultaneously, the EgyptAir Training Academy expanded its long-standing strategic partnership with FlightSafety International through the acquisition of a state-of-the-art Level D Full Flight Simulator (FFS) for the Boeing 737 MAX, along with a Level 1 Flight Training Device (FTD).
The agreement, witnessed by Pilot Ahmed Adel, was signed by Captain Walid Soliman, Head of EgyptAir Training Academy, and Matt Laue, Vice President of Sales, ensuring the academy remains at the forefront of global flight training technologies.

In bolstering its ground services, EgyptAir Ground Services announced a new ground handling contract with Sky Horizon, an emerging startup in the Egyptian aviation agency sector.
The contract was signed by Khaled Atwa, Chairman and Managing Director of EgyptAir Ground Services, and Ali El-Telawy, Chairman of Sky Horizon.
Atwa emphasized that this agreement strengthens EgyptAir Ground Services’ dominant position as the largest ground handling service provider in Egypt, maintaining a significant 75% market share.
Finally, on the sidelines of the exhibition, Adel conducted a thorough inspection of the Boeing 777X aircraft participating in the static display, receiving a detailed explanation from Boeing officials regarding the new model’s engineering innovations, its highly efficient GE9X engines designed to reduce fuel consumption, and the advanced levels of comfort, navigation, and technology offered in its cockpit and cabin interior.
