EgyptAir is actively working to significantly increase flight frequencies between Cairo and key Italian cities.
This strategic expansion is aimed at meeting the robust growth in travel demand and is designed to further stimulate tourism and trade between the two nations.
Chairman and Managing Director of EgyptAir Holding Company Ahmed Adel confirmed the initiative during a meeting with the Italian Ambassador to Cairo Agostino Balizzi.
Adel elaborated that EgyptAir currently maintains regular scheduled services to prominent Italian destinations, including Rome and Milan.
Furthermore, the company is undertaking a thorough feasibility study for the introduction of new routes, with a focus on implementing these additions during peak tourist seasons to maximise the flow of travel and commerce.
The meeting between Pilot Adel and Ambassador Balizzi served as a platform to discuss comprehensive measures for strengthening bilateral cooperation and strategically expanding the flight network linking Egypt and Italy.
During the discussion, Adel outlined EgyptAir’s overarching strategy for European network expansion, identifying the Italian market as a critical priority and one of the most significant source markets for incoming tourism to Egypt.
Balizzi, in turn, commended the deep-rooted historical relations shared by Egypt and Italy.
He underscored Italy’s firm commitment to supporting enhanced co-operation within the civil aviation sector and facilitating increased air traffic between the two countries.
The Ambassador emphasised that this joint effort would be mutually beneficial, serving both nations’ interests and providing a substantial boost to tourism and investment flows.
