EgyptAir Airlines, through its tourism arm Karnak, and the Egyptian Dar al-Ifta have officially signed a co-operation protocol to provide comprehensive travel and tourism services. The agreement aims to facilitate airline ticket reservations, airport reception, and tourist transportation for Dar al-Ifta’s activities and events.

The signing ceremony took place at the headquarters of the Egyptian Dar al-Ifta and was attended by Nazir Ayyad, Grand Mufti of Egypt and Secretary-General of the World Federation of Fatwa Authorities and Institutions.
The protocol was formally signed by Ashraf Rateb, Head of the Tourism Sector (Karnak), on behalf of Captain Mohamed Alian, Chairman and CEO of EgyptAir Airlines. Counselor Osama al-Hindawi, Head of the Office of the Grand Mufti of the Republic, signed on behalf of Dar al-Ifta.
Nazir Ayyad welcomed the collaboration, highlighting the significance of partnering with Egypt’s national airline, EgyptAir, to enhance travel and tourism services both domestically and internationally.
He also announced that EgyptAir will serve as the official carrier for the Egyptian Dar al-Ifta.
Ayyad further noted that this protocol is a key part of Dar al-Ifta’s preparations for the upcoming tenth edition of the Scientific Conference on the Making of a Wise Mufti in the Age of Artificial Intelligence.
The conference, scheduled for August 12th and 13th, will host over 100 fatwa authorities from around the world.
Captain Mohamed Alian, Chairman of EgyptAir Airlines, emphasized that this partnership aligns with the vision of the Egyptian state, directives from the Ministry of Civil Aviation, and EgyptAir Holding Company’s strategy to expand its reach and provide premier services to a wider range of institutions, agencies, and ministries.

This includes a full spectrum of domestic and international travel and tourism services, as well as Hajj and Umrah services, offered through its various sectors, including Karnak.
Head of the Tourism Sector Ashraf Rateb detailed the services offered under the protocol.
These include competitively priced airline ticket bookings, conference and event organization, airport reception, tourist transportation, and Hajj and Umrah trip arrangements, among other premium tourism services.
He expressed optimism for future successes and the expansion of service offerings.
Rateb also conveyed his appreciation for the warm reception and reiterated Karnak’s commitment to collaborating with Egyptian state institutions to enhance service quality and foster mutual co-operation. Counselor Osama El-Hindawi, Head of the Grand Mufti’s Office, underscored that this joint co-operation will leverage the tourism sector’s expertise to provide comprehensive tourism services within and outside Egypt, solidifying EgyptAir’s role as the official carrier for all entities covered by the protocol for both domestic and international events.
