Pilot Ahmed Adel, Chairman and CEO of EgyptAir Holding Company, continued a series of intensive meetings with leading global aviation companies on the sidelines of the 2025 Paris Air Show. These engagements focused on expanding cooperation in aircraft manufacturing, leasing, and technical services, in line with EgyptAir’s strategic vision to upgrade its fleet and enhance service quality. Pilot Mohamed Alian, Chairman of EgyptAir Airlines, also participated in the discussions.
During a key meeting with officials from Sky Leasing, talks centered on future collaboration to provide flexible financing and leasing solutions that would support EgyptAir’s fleet renewal efforts and the introduction of modern, fuel-efficient aircraft.

Adel also met with representatives from Air Lease Corporation (ALC), a long-time EgyptAir partner currently leasing 18 Boeing B737 MAX aircraft to the airline. The two sides explored opportunities to strengthen this relationship and expand cooperation.
In a high-level meeting with Boeing officials, Adel reviewed updates on the delivery schedule for 18 Boeing B737-800 MAX aircraft. Discussions included technical and logistical arrangements for the delivery process, with the first aircraft expected to be delivered in early 2026.
As part of continued efforts to upgrade passenger experience and cabin standards, the Chairman met with a delegation from Collins Aerospace. The meeting focused on the executive procedures for replacing economy and business class seats on 19 Boeing B737-800 aircraft. It also addressed the customization of new business class “Elevation” seats for the Airbus A350 fleet. Supply timelines and cooperation mechanisms were reviewed to ensure compliance with top-tier quality and technical standards.

The EgyptAir delegation also visited the Flight Safety pavilion, a leader in flight simulation technology. The team explored the latest innovations in flight simulators and held discussions about acquiring full flight simulators for the upcoming A350 and B737 MAX aircraft. EgyptAir also requested technical bids for simulators for the A320neo, aligning with its broader plan to enhance and modernize its pilot training infrastructure.
The meetings concluded with a strategic session with CFM International, focusing on securing operational readiness of B737 MAX engines. Discussions included the procurement of spare engines and plans to upgrade the capacity of EgyptAir’s CFM LEAP 1B engine workshop to support maintenance and performance reliability.
These meetings underscore EgyptAir’s commitment to modernizing its fleet, adopting advanced technologies, and maintaining the highest standards of operational efficiency and passenger service.
