EgyptAir Cargo has signed a new partnership agreement with South Korea’s Asiana Airlines, a leading carrier in the Asia-Pacific region. Under the deal, EgyptAir Cargo will provide storage and handling services for Asiana’s inbound and outbound shipments at its cargo complex in Cairo.
Captain Ehab El-Tohami, Chairman and CEO of EgyptAir Cargo, stated that the agreement follows intense competition to secure the tender for managing Asiana’s cargo services. He highlighted the company’s successful technical and commercial proposal, which adhered to the highest global standards of quality and customer service.
The deal was facilitated by a team led by Hisham Alioa, Head of Cargo Operations, alongside Mohamed Rashid Soraya, General Manager of Cargo Complexes, and Mazen Fikry Saleh, Ground Service Contracts Supervisor.
The three-year agreement reinforces Cairo International Airport’s position as a key hub for air cargo. It also offers EgyptAir Cargo an opportunity to expand its client base by providing integrated, high-quality cargo services to major international airlines. The partnership is expected to improve handling and storage operations, ensuring the smooth flow of goods between South Korea, Egypt, and the wider region.
This collaboration aligns with EgyptAir Cargo’s strategy to enhance its operational capabilities and customer service while strengthening its competitive standing regionally and globally.
