EgyptAir Cargo, the freight division of Egypt’s flag carrier, hosted a prestigious ceremony in Dubai to recognise and honor its leading clients and dedicated service agents across the United Arab Emirates.

The event, held on the sidelines of the prominent Dubai Airshow 2025, served as a platform to underscore the deep strategic importance of the UAE market to the company’s regional operations.
The ceremony was overseen by the company’s Public Relations Manager Ahmed Kamal and graciously sponsored by Ruch Wung, Chairman of Link Global Logistic International, the company’s General Sales Agent (GSA) in the UAE.

The event saw the attendance of key figures, including Chairman and Managing Director of EgyptAir Cargo Pilot Ehab El-Tahtawy and Mohamed Zaki, Director of the EgyptAir Cargo office in the UAE.
El-Tahtawy opened the proceedings, emphasising that the recognition was a heartfelt gesture of appreciation for the prominent and pivotal role played by the company’s partners.
He noted that their unwavering support was instrumental in achieving outstanding results during the 2024/2025 fiscal year. Furthermore, he reinforced the company’s strategic commitment to expanding cooperation within the UAE, which he described as one of the most critical regional markets for EgyptAir Cargo.

El-Tahtawy then provided a detailed review of the company’s substantial operational achievements within the UAE region.
He proudly announced that EgyptAir Cargo successfully transported over 5,475 tons of incoming and transit cargo destined for Egypt, representing a significant 22% growth rate over the previous period.
Additionally, exported cargo from Egypt to the UAE reached approximately 4,377 tons, reflecting a solid 7% growth rate.

These figures, he asserted, are a clear reflection of the enduring strength of the partnership, the high efficiency of operational processes, and the company’s inherent flexibility in meeting market demands.
Looking ahead, El-Tahtawy mentioned the company’s continued pursuit of elite international accreditations, specifically citing the IATA and CEIV PHRMA certifications, which will substantially enhance EgyptAir Cargo’s capabilities in transporting sensitive pharmaceutical shipments and serums in strict accordance with the highest global standards.
In a major development, he also revealed plans to bolster the fleet with the addition of two A330 aircraft and to expand the global network by launching new cargo destinations.
Ruch Wung, Chairman of Link Global Logistic International, and the host for the evening, warmly welcomed El-Tahtawy and all attendees.

Wung highlighted the immense honor his company has felt in serving as the General Sales Agent for EgyptAir Cargo in the UAE for the past eighteen years. He attributed their consistent, reliable performance and successful partnership directly to the long-standing trust placed in them by EgyptAir.
He added that EgyptAir’s continuous investment in enhancing its capabilities and improving the quality of service is a key factor that reinforces the mutual success of their joint venture.
Wung concluded by expressing his deep gratitude to the esteemed clients, partners, dedicated colleagues, and, most notably, the leadership of EgyptAir, represented by Pilot Ehab El-Tahtawy and the EgyptAir Cargo management team.
Concluding the formal presentations, Mohamed Zaki, Director of EgyptAir Cargo’s UAE office, stepped forward to present a comprehensive overview of the company’s forward-looking agenda.

This included detailed insights into the strategic plan for modernising and expanding the current fleet, as well as an outline of the new, strategically important cargo routes slated for imminent launch, confirming the company’s ambitious trajectory for growth in the coming period.
