EgyptAir becomes official carrier for equestrian team at Qatar Championship

EgyptAir has been named the official carrier and sponsor of the Egyptian delegation participating in the Qatar International Equestrian Championship 2025. The event, held at Al Shaqab Equestrian Club in Doha from January 7 to 27, is a qualifier for the World Equestrian Games. This sponsorship is part of EgyptAir’s ongoing commitment to supporting Egyptian sports on the international stage.

The Egyptian team comprises 54 members, including 27 riders and 31 horses, making it one of the largest delegations in the history of the Egyptian Equestrian Federation. This marks Egypt’s return to international equestrian competition with Egyptian horses and riders after a 15-year hiatus.

EgyptAir Cargo, led by Capt. Ehab Al-Tahatawi, transported the horses to Doha aboard one of its cargo aircraft, providing all necessary logistical and support services to ensure a smooth journey from Cairo International Airport to Hamad International Airport.

EgyptAir emphasised its commitment to supporting the delegation, reflecting its national role in backing Egyptian sports and ensuring a strong international presence. The company praised the efforts of the Egyptian Equestrian Federation in achieving this milestone and reaffirmed its dedication to bolstering Egyptian sports on the global stage.

Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhy hailed the Egyptian participation as a significant achievement, highlighting that it signals a new chapter for Egypt in international equestrian competitions.

The Qatar International Equestrian Championship 2025 is a prestigious event that underscores Egypt’s determination to regain its place in the global sporting arena.
