In line with the robust co-operation between Egypt and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) across various fields, and the Egyptian Ministry of Civil Aviation’s firm commitment to strengthening partnerships that support the sector’s development, Minister of Civil Aviation Sameh El-Hefny received Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Aviation Group Mahmoud El-Hamly and his accompanying delegation at the Ministry’s headquarters in the New Administrative Capital.
Their discussion focused intensely on exploring avenues for enhanced technical, operational, and investment co-operation. These areas are specifically targeted to support the ongoing development plans within the Egyptian civil aviation sector and solidify its crucial position as one of the most important sectors backing the national economy.
During the meeting, Minister El-Hefny extended a warm welcome to the Emirati delegation, emphasizing the Ministry’s strategic interest in expanding regional partnerships that contribute directly to elevating the efficiency of the entire civil aviation system.
He underscored the vital importance of this cooperation, particularly in specialized fields such as aircraft maintenance, repair, training, the exchange of technical and operational expertise, and expanding collaboration in air cargo development.
El-Hefny affirmed that cooperation and the exchange of expertise in these key areas are considered a critical starting point for establishing deeper economic partnerships between the two nations.
He added that the Ministry is working proactively to strengthen cooperation with specialized regional institutions to achieve tangible progress in the sector’s technical and operational capabilities, noting that this partnership with the Abu Dhabi Aviation Group is a significant step toward achieving shared development goals and creating a modern operating environment that meets global industry requirements.
