Egypt’s Minister of Civil Aviation, Samih El-Hefny, held talks with a high-level delegation from the United Arab Emirates, led by Mohamed Abdullah Al Salami, Chairman of the Fujairah Civil Aviation Authority and Vice Chairman of the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority, and Mohamed Abdullah Al Najjar, Director General of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority.

The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral ties in the aviation sector, including training, knowledge exchange, and airport infrastructure development.
El-Hefny emphasised the deep-rooted relations between Egypt and the UAE, noting that the ministry is implementing a comprehensive strategy aimed at improving infrastructure, fostering technological innovation, and advancing sustainability in aviation. He highlighted the importance of developing human resources to keep pace with rapid changes in this critical sector, especially as Egypt encourages private sector participation to solidify its position as a regional hub for civil aviation in the Middle East and Africa.
The meeting covered key topics such as air navigation systems, infrastructure development at airports, and an exchange of insights on major aviation projects underway in Dubai and Fujairah. Both sides stressed the importance of leveraging their strong ties to support the shared developmental visions of both nations while addressing global changes in the aviation industry.

Additionally, the discussions explored opportunities to expand co-operation in training and knowledge-sharing, particularly with Dubai’s Air Navigation Training Centre. The two sides agreed on organising specialised training programmes that incorporate the latest global technologies to enhance skills and expertise in the sector.
The talks reflect the commitment of Egypt and the UAE to strengthening their strategic partnership in aviation, contributing to mutual growth and development.
