Minister of Civil Aviation Mohamed Abbas met yesterday Palestinian Minister of Transport and Communications Assem Salem and his accompanying delegation.
The two ministers discussed mechanisms to enhance co-operation between the two sides in various civil aviation activities.
The two sides also reviewed all the preparations for the transfer of Palestinian pilgrims to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to perform the Hajj rituals this year.
Minister Abbas said that his ministry will provide all necessary facilities for the Palestinian pilgrims during the pilgrimage trip.
The minister of civil aviation stressed the strength of the distinguished relations between the two countries, pointing out that Egypt provides all the necessary facilities for the travel of Palestinian citizens through Egyptian airports. The Egyptian authorities are keen to provide all capabilities to transport Palestinian pilgrims and Umrah performers to the Holy Lands.
For his part, the Palestinian minister of transport and communications referred to the strong relations between the two countries, stressing Egypt’s important and pioneering role in supporting Palestine at all levels.
At the end of the meeting, the Palestinian Minister of Transport expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Egyptian government for offering all aid and overcome all obstacles facing the Palestinian pilgrims.
