The Arab Civil Aviation Organisation congratulated Egypt on being chosen as the first Arab and African country to obtain the seat of Vice-Chairman of the ICAO Environment Committee.
The Arab Civil Aviation Organisation also expressed its appreciation for Egypt’s effective role in various air transport activities, praising the close co-operation between the Egyptian civil aviation sector and the Arab Civil Aviation Organisation in all fields.
It also lauded the Civil Aviation Authority’s hosting of many training courses in the field of air transport for a large number of aviation workers in Arab countries.
This came during the meetings of the Executive Council of the Arab Civil Aviation Organisation at the organisation’s headquarters in Rabat, Kingdom of Morocco.
The Executive Council discussed the results of the work of the various committees of the organisation during the previous period and following up on the recommendations that were implemented during the General Assembly of the organisation, which was held in 2021.
During the assembly, Egypt was elected as a member of all the five committees of the organisation, namely, the Committee on Air Transport, Air Safety, Aviation Security, Air Navigation and Environment.
