In a significant step toward enhancing regional aviation collaboration, the National Air Navigation Services Company (NANSC) hosted a high-level Libyan delegation at the Cairo Air Navigation Center. The visit, which included representatives from EgyptAir Training Academy, the Libyan Air Navigation Service Provider, and the Wings of Sky Aviation Academy, aimed to bolster joint efforts in air traffic control training and operational coordination between Egypt and Libya.
The meeting was part of an ongoing initiative to train Libyan air traffic controllers under a strategic partnership protocol with EgyptAir Training Academy. The visit included a detailed presentation highlighting NANSC’s specialized training programs, its role in regional air navigation, and its successful collaborations with the Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development (EAPD) to train African aviation professionals.

As part of the visit, the delegation toured the Air Traffic Control Training Simulator (TBS) at the Cairo Air Navigation Center, gaining firsthand insight into Egypt’s advanced training infrastructure and technological capabilities. Discussions also focused on optimizing air traffic flow management and strengthening operational connectivity between Egyptian and Libyan airspace to improve efficiency and safety.
Eng. Ayman Fawzi Arab, Chairman of the Egyptian Airports and Air Navigation Holding Company, emphasized that this initiative aligns with Egypt’s broader vision to support African nations in air navigation and airport management. “This collaboration reflects our commitment to enhancing aviation efficiency across the region and fostering stronger ties with our Libyan counterparts,” he stated.
With growing air traffic between Egypt and Libya, this partnership represents a critical step in ensuring smoother, safer, and more efficient airspace operations, setting the stage for deeper cooperation in aviation services across North Africa.
