Egypt’s Minister of Civil Aviation, Sameh El-Hefny, held talks with French Ambassador to Egypt, Éric Chevallier, to discuss enhancing bilateral co-operation and strengthening ties in various aspects of civil aviation.
During the meeting, the two sides explored several shared priorities, including the potential revision of the bilateral air transport agreement between the Egyptian and French civil aviation authorities.
Discussions also touched on advancing partnerships in airport development, meteorology, and the adoption of advanced technologies in air transport.Minister El-Hefny outlined the ministry’s developmental plans, emphasising ongoing projects aimed at modernising Egyptian airports in terms of management and operations. He highlighted the focus on infrastructure improvements and enhancing service quality, citing the capabilities and strategic importance of Egypt’s civil aviation sector.
El-Hefny stressed the ministry’s commitment to fostering effective collaboration with strategic partners, noting France’s significance as a key trade and economic partner for both the aviation sector and Egypt as a whole.
Ambassador Chevallier reaffirmed France’s commitment to supporting Egypt’s comprehensive development efforts. He added that many French companies are eager to invest in developmental projects within Egypt’s airport sector, further strengthening the co-operation between the two nations.
