Minister of Civil Aviation, Sameh El-Hefny, met with Bulgaria’s Ambassador to Cairo, Deyan Katratchev, to discuss enhancing bilateral co-operation in civil aviation.
The talks included reviewing the possibility of amending the air transport agreement between the two countries. The Bulgarian side also expressed interest in launching direct, regular flights to Egypt’s key tourist destinations.
Both officials explored opportunities for greater collaboration in areas such as maintenance, training, and the exchange of expertise to benefit both nations. El-Hefny highlighted the strong bilateral relations between Egypt and Bulgaria, emphasising the potential for further partnerships across various aspects of civil aviation.
Ambassador Katratchev praised the robust ties between the two nations and commended Egypt’s role as a regional hub for civil aviation in the Middle East and Africa.
