A high-level delegation, led by Pilot Montaser Manaa, Deputy Minister of Civil Aviation, recently conducted a thorough inspection of Capital International Airport. The visit, in line with directives from Dr. Sameh El-Hefny, Minister of Civil Aviation, aimed to enhance oversight of security, health, and environmental standards across all Egyptian airports.

The committee was headed by Pilot Montaser Manaa, Deputy Minister of Civil Aviation, accompanied by Pilot Wael El-Nashar, Chairman of the Egyptian Airports Company, along with representatives from relevant authorities. Upon arrival, they were received by Pilot Amr Abdel Hamid Abu Deeb, Director of Capital International Airport.

The tour focused on assessing the operational readiness of the airport and its preparedness to receive flights, while ensuring that security, health, and environmental standards are fully met. The committee closely monitored passenger and air traffic flow, the efficiency of security operations, and the quality of services provided within the departure and arrival halls and all service areas.
The inspection included a detailed review of critical airport infrastructure, such as the perimeter fences, passenger terminal, international and domestic departure and arrival halls, lounges, cafeterias, and the duty-free area. The committee also evaluated the procedures for passports and customs clearance, catering services, meteorological operations, the air traffic control tower, the information center, and the security room equipped with a comprehensive surveillance camera system.

Additionally, the baggage conveyor belt system was examined to ensure the smooth movement of luggage during both departure and arrival stages. The tour concluded with an inspection of the airport’s gates to confirm overall operational efficiency and security compliance.
This inspection forms part of the Civil Aviation Ministry’s ongoing efforts to maintain the highest standards of safety, security, and passenger service quality across all Egyptian airports.
