In line with Egypt’s digital transformation strategy, Minister of Civil Aviation, Samah el-Hefny, emphasised the ministry’s commitment to expanding the adoption of modern digital solutions across its various sectors. He also highlighted the importance of investing in human resources, as they are considered the main pillar for achieving sustainable growth and development.
This came during a meeting held at the ministry’s headquarters between Minister el-Hefny and a delegation from Microsoft, led by Naim Yazbeck, the company’s President for the Middle East and Africa, in the presence of Eng. Amr Negaty, Permanent Undersecretary of the Ministry of Civil Aviation.

The meeting aimed to explore ways to support joint co-operation in the fields of information technology and digital transformation.
During the meeting, the agreement between EgyptAir and Microsoft was reviewed, focusing on the use of AI technologies to enhance the travel experience. This supports the national carrier’s direction toward adopting advanced digital solutions that improve operational efficiency and elevate the quality of services provided to passengers.
