On November 2, Cairo International Airport recorded a notable increase in operations, with around 90,000 passengers travelling through on 590 flights. The surge, part of an ongoing push by Egypt’s Civil Aviation Ministry to boost tourism and air traffic, underscores a strong rebound in visitor numbers.
The spike in passenger traffic reflects a significant recovery in tourism to Egypt from all over the world. Officials say the development highlights the success of Egypt’s aviation sector in upgrading infrastructure and enhancing capacity at the country’s airports. Efforts to improve service quality aim to provide travelers with a smooth and safe experience while bolstering the global competitiveness of Egypt’s airport network.
The record numbers illustrate travelers’ growing confidence in Egyptian airports, solidifying Cairo International’s status as Egypt’s primary gateway to Africa and as a key international hub.
