In a significant stride toward cementing its status as a premier regional aviation hub, Cairo Airport Company has successfully renewed its Integrated Management System (IMS) certifications. Following a series of exhaustive audits conducted by the global certification leader SGS, the airport was found to be in full compliance with three critical international benchmarks: ISO 9001:2015 for Quality Management, ISO 24002:2015 for Environmental Management, and ISO 45001:2018 for Occupational Health and Safety.
This triple recertification underscores the facility’s unwavering adherence to the most stringent global protocols across its diverse operational sectors.

Chairman of Cairo Airport Company Magdy Ishaq Azer lauded the collective dedication of the airport’s workforce, attributing this milestone to a culture of institutional discipline and tireless professional rigor.
He emphasised that maintaining these standards has evolved beyond a mere regulatory requirement into a core corporate philosophy. By embedding quality, safety, and sustainability into the airport’s DNA, the organisation is not only elevating the travel experience for Egypt’s guests but also sharpening its competitive edge on the international stage.
The audit team from SGS highlighted a transformative shift in the airport’s management style, specifically praising the Youth Empowerment strategy championed by senior leadership.
The certification body noted that the strategic promotion of qualified young talent into executive and leadership roles has catalysed a measurable leap in performance. This infusion of new energy has fostered an environment of innovation, allowing the airport to respond to complex international requirements with a level of flexibility and professionalism that sets a benchmark for the industry.

Central to this success was the Safety and Quality Sector, led by Mohamed Sharaby.
The auditors specifically commended the sector’s ability to merge quality, environmental protection, and safety protocols into a single, cohesive framework.
This high-level integration is viewed as the primary engine driving operational efficiency and sustainability.
By aligning these efforts with Egypt’s Vision 2030, Cairo Airport is positioning itself among the global elite of environmentally conscious and modern aviation facilities.
Furthermore, the audit recognised the Cairo Airport Crisis Management team for their proactive and sophisticated approach to facility and passenger security.

Experts noted that the team’s high state of readiness and precise execution of international safety scenarios provide a vital layer of protection for both travelers and infrastructure.
This comprehensive commitment to safety and excellence ensures that Cairo International Airport remains a safe, sustainable, and world-class gateway to the African continent.
