The Ministry of Civil Aviation organised a specialised inspection tour for a high-level parliamentary delegation, comprising members from both the House of Representatives and the Senate to Cairo International Airport (CAI).
This timely visit coincided with the momentous opening ceremony of the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM).

The delegation was formally greeted upon arrival by Mohamed Hammad, Assistant Minister of Civil Aviation, along with several senior airport officials.
The purpose of the tour was to thoroughly examine the airport’s extensive preparations for accommodating the influx of international and national guests attending the historic GEM inauguration, with all arrangements having been executed under the direct guidance and supervision of the Minister of Civil Aviation, Sameh el-Hefny.
Following their comprehensive review of the facility and its procedures, the parliamentary delegation expressed significant admiration and praise for the standards of preparation implemented at Cairo Airport.

A particular highlight that captured the delegation’s attention was the innovative and celebratory atmosphere created by the airport’s administration.
Specifically, the decision to live broadcast the GEM opening ceremony on the airport’s largest screen, utilising cutting-edge 5D technology, as well as on all internal and external displays throughout the airport, was lauded as a brilliant success.

The distinguished delegation included several prominent figures: Representative Nesreen Omar, Member of the House of Representatives; Representative Ahmed Turki, Member of the Senate, who also serves as the Secretary of the Religious Affairs and Endowments Committee in the Senate and the Secretary of Religious Affairs for the Homeland Protectors Party; and Representative Nashwa El-Sherif, Member of the House of Representatives, representing the Coordination of Youth Parties and Politicians and a dedicated member of the Tourism and Aviation Committee in the House of Representatives.
