Cairo Airport Company has launched a training programme for 15 trainees from various African airports, in line with the Egyptian Ministry of Civil Aviation’s directive to support African nations in the field of aviation.
The programme, conducted in collaboration with the Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, aims to share Cairo International Airport’s expertise with African countries. It provides a comprehensive understanding of airport operations, covering key topics such as ground operations management, passenger services, airport security and safety, and environmental and regulatory concepts.
Eng. Ayman Fawzy Arab, Chairman of the Egyptian Holding Company for Airports and Air Navigation, emphasised Egypt’s commitment to supporting its African counterparts. He highlighted the country’s advanced technical and training capabilities, which allow for practical, on-site training to deliver a complete learning experience.
Arab also noted that the holding company actively participates in African aviation events, including the recent exhibition at the African Airlines Association (AFRAA) General Assembly. He reiterated the company’s readiness to offer training, consultancy, and technical support to African nations, reflecting Egypt’s leadership role in the aviation sector.
