Cairo Airport Company, in co-operation with the Labour Sector, organised a symposium to workers themed “Avoiding Risks in the Work Environment”.
The head of the safety and quality sector, Mohamed Sharbi, chemist Moustafa al-Washahi, director general of occupational safety and health, and Fatima Abdel Rasool, head of the trade union committee, attended the event.
The head of the safety and quality sector stressed the importance of occupational safety and health in the workplace to preserve the human elements and properties, which are the pillars of development in any facility.
The symposium included two lectures, the first entitled “Avoiding Risks in the Work Environment” delivered by chemist Soso Mohamed Sabry, in which she dealt with objectives of occupational safety and health in the worksite.
The second lecture, under the theme “Natural Disasters and Dealing with Earthquakes”, was delivered by chemist Moustafa al-Washahi. He stressed the importance of studying natural disasters in Egypt and all over the world. He also referred to the Cairo Airport Company’s preparations to confront natural disasters.
