The Ministry of Civil Aviation has officially launched its comprehensive operational plan for the upcoming Hajj season, marked by a high-level coordination effort across all relevant state authorities.
Minister of Civil Aviation Sameh el-Hefny recently convened an extensive meeting with senior aviation officials to evaluate the readiness of Cairo International Airport and other regional hubs.
This strategic review focused on optimising the reception and transport of pilgrims, ensuring that every phase of the journey meets the highest standards of safety and efficiency.

Central to the ministry’s strategy is the enhancement of airport logistics and operational capacity to manage the anticipated surge in traffic.
Discussions highlighted the importance of streamlining procedures at the gates to prevent bottlenecks, particularly during peak travel windows.

By prioritising operational excellence and adhering to international safety benchmarks, the ministry aims to provide a seamless travel experience for pilgrims from the moment they arrive at the airport until they board their flights to Jeddah and Medina.
